Originally, colour analysis used a seasonal system, placing people into just four categories – Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. While this was a great starting point, by the 1990s it became clear that a more personalised approach would deliver better results.

Today we use a modern tonal colour system, analysing your hair colour, skin tone and eye colour to determine the tones that work best for you. Instead of squeezing everyone into just four boxes, this refined system creates 12 possible outcomes, allowing your palette to be far more tailored and accurate.
